MANDELSHTAM, Aleksandr was born in 1894.
1916 graduated Medical Faculty, Moscow University.
Member, Editor Council, journal “Akusherstvo i ginekologiya” (Obstetrics and Gynecology). Со-Editor, “Obstetrics” and “Gynecology” sections, “Bolshaya meditsinskaya entsiklopediya” (Large Medical Encyclopedia), 2nd edition. Developed methods of operating on: obliteration of the fallopian tube.
Defects in the development of the female genitals. Malignant tumors of the uterus and ovaries. Devised a means of forming an artificial vagina by the rectum method.
