1904 graduate Medical Faculty, Kazan University.
From 1904 assistant dissector, Chair of Histology, Kazan’ University. 1909 defended doctor’s thesis on the microscopic structure of the merocrine glands in the skin of mammals. 1911 — 12 worked under Professor M. Heidenhain in Germany.
1913-1918 associate professor, from 1918 professor of histology, Medical Faculty, Kazan University. From 1921 head, Chair of Histology, Kazan University and Kazan’ Histological Laboratory. Did major research on glandular tissue.
Studied the cellular structure of the renal eipithelium and the role of the chondriosomes of the pancreas in secretion. Supervised research at Kazan’ Histological Laboratory on the morphology of the sympathetic nervous system (innervation of the digestive tract, gall-bladder, etc). Trained such outstanding histologists as North. G. Kolosov, Yu.
M. Lazovskiy, B. I. Lavrent’yev and G. A. Polikarpov.
