Established and directed several psychology laboratories. 1901 founded first Russian laboratory of experimental psychology in Saint St. Petersburg. 1906-1916 organized five All-Russian conferences on psychology and experimental pedagogics
Did research on memory and individual differences in memory power. On the basis of quantitative laboratory data attempted to correlate pedag and psychology. Failed in this undertaking because of the then inadequate state of empirical psychology and divided his pupils into critics and supporters.
In the face of heavy criticism gained some support for his ideas at the 1906 and 1909 All-Russian Congresses on Pedagogical Psychology and the 1910, 1913 and 1916 Congresses on Experimental Pedagogical. Expounded his views in his own publ Knizhki pedagogicheskoy psikhologii (Booklets in Pedagogical Psychology) (I 1 issues, 1905 — 10) and Yezhegodnik eksperimental’noy pedagogiki (Yearbook of Experimental Pedagogics) (1909-1914). After 1917 October Revol worked at various sci establishments in Moscow.
January 1924 criticized at 2nd Psychoneurological Congress for refusing to accept Marxist philosophy as a basis of psychology and for defending empirical principles. His arguments in favor of the latter were similar to those of Chelpanov. Spent last years of life in exile, working at Semipalatinsk Teachers' Training Institute.
Religious moral codes pervert people outside their group as less moral. Thus, religion is socially divisive and its effect is harmful for society.
