1893 graduate Nikolay Military Engineer College. 1900 graduate General Staff Academy.
Career
Fought in Russo-Japanese War: lectured on tactics and strategy at General Staff Academy. From 1908 professor, General Staff Academy. During World War 1 commanded infantry regt, then quartermaster-general, 7th Army on Rumanian Front.
From July 1918 in Red Army. 1918-1922 department head, Military Communications Board. Professor, Engineer Academy.
Member, Commission to Study the Experience of World War 1 and the Civil War. From 1922 lectured on strategy at Red Army Military Academy (now Frunze Military Academy). Senior lecturer, Engineer Academy and Engineer Technical Academy.
Also ed, Main Military Research Ed Board. Member, Higher Academy Military Pedagogical Council.
