House-painter, then teacher. Active in 1905 Revol in Yaroslavl’. 1906 arrested and exiled to Arkhangel’sk Province.
Fled to Saint St. Petersburg. Arrested four times in the course of one year and forced to move to Moscow, where he helped rebuild Party organisation in Moscow Okrug. 1908 arrested and sentenced to four years’ hard labor.
1914 sent to settlement in Verkholensk Uyezd. During 1917 February Revol in Irkutsk, where he helped establish Party and trade-union organizations and Irkutsk Soviet. August 1917 moved to Moscow and worked as touring instructor and agitator for Moscow Okrug Party Committee.
Organized Party and government work in Ryazan’ and Tambov Provinces. After 1917 October Revol Party work and comissar of a bank. 1919 went to front; member, Revol Military Council, 11th Army.
Religion doesn't give equal treatment to women and therefore contradicts basic human rights.
