TRIUMFOV, Aleksandr was born in 1897.
1917 graduated Petrograd Military Medicine Academy. 1917-1931 specialized in neuropathology in Chair of Nervous Diseases.
Made many innovations in study of neural infections and battle traumas of the nervous system, its complications and sequelae. Founded Neurosurgical Section at Dept, of Nervous Diseases, Military Medicine Academy, which has become central section for Soviet Navy. His works on intratruncal structure of the median nerve are among foremost studies on architectonics of the peripheral nervous system.
Since 1955 consultant, Polenov Neurosurgical Institute. Has attended congresses and conferences of neuropathologists, psychiatrists and neurosurgeons. Board member, Leningrad Society of Neuropathologists and Psychiatrists.

1931-1938 Director, Chairs of Nervous Diseases, Novosibirsk Postgraduate Medicine Institute, and Novosibirsk Medicine Institute. 1938-1940 Director, Chair of Nervous Diseases, 3rd Leningrad Medicine Institute. During World War II Chief Neuropathologist for Soviet Navy.
