Completed high school.
Career
After completing high school active at Alator Theater, Moscow. 1915 made variety debut, performing his own songs in Pierrot make-up and costume. 1914-1918 film work; 1919 emigrated.
1920-1943 gave variety concerts in Poland, Rumania, Germany, France, Italy, England, China and United States of America. Also did Film work; from 1943 lived and worked in Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics. Invented his own special genre — the musical novella.
