From 1891 instructor, Saint St. Petersburg Engineer Academy and Engineer College. From 1900 extraord professor, Warsaw Polytech Institute. 1904 began research on eleetr traction.
1907-1912 lecturer, from 1912 professor, Saint St. Petersburg (Petrograd) Polytech Institute. Influenced the development of research on eleetr traction in Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics. Helped to draft and realize plan for the electrification of Russia.
Proposed combined electrification of railroads and adjacent areas and argued that the former should be run on high-voltage direct current (up to 5,000 volts). These proposals were subsequently implemented.
Religious faith contradicts people’s efforts to obtain the truth about nature and a human being.
Marxism–Leninism as the only truth could not, by its very nature, become outdated.
