ZALESSKY, Aleksandr was born in 1892.
1920 graduated Petrograd Polytechn. Institute.
Since 1945 worked on development of high-voltage equipment for major USSR hydropower plants. Attended 8th and 9th All-Russia Electronic Engineering Congresses and plenums of All-Union Electrotechn. Association; since 1945 Chairman, AllUnion Science Engineering Society of Power Engineering.
1920-1930 instructor, Petrograd Polytechn. Institute; 1930-1936 Head, Chair of High Voltages, Leningrad Polytechn. Institute; 1933-1935 simultaneously Dean, Power Engineering Faculty, and Deputy Director in charge of studies, above Institute.
In addition 1922-1927 Senior Engineering and later Chief in charge of electrical engineer, Technology Department, in construction of Volkov Hydropower Plant. 1927-1933 associate, Electrophysical Institute, USSR Academy of Science. 1943-1944 associate, Power Engineering Institute, Uzbek Academy of Sciences.
