Bakhrakh, Aleksandr Vasil'evich was born in 1902.

Career

Emigrated after the Civil War. Became known as a journalist and literary critic in the 1920s. Settled in Germany, and later in France.

During World War II was hidden by Ivan Bunin from the Germans at his villa in Southern France. In the 1950s-60s worked at Radio Liberty in Munich. Wrote memoirs describing the literary life of Russian emigres in the West.
