Aleksei Lopatin, USSR Lieutenant, state security officer.


Lopatin, Aleksei was born in 1915.


Joined the border guards (NKVD), 1937. At the start of World War II, his border-guard detachment fought to the death for 11 days against the advancing German Army. Posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union, 1957.

The extremely long delay in acknowledging this heroic feat has never been explained.


Religion is a cause of numerous conflicts and bloody wars throughout the history of mankind.


The emphasis on peaceful coexistence doesn’t mean that the Soviet Union accepted a static world with clear lines. Socialism is inevitable and the "correlations of forces" were moving towards socialism.
