Career
From 1912 professor, Kazan’ University. From 1929 professor, Kazan’ Chemical Technol Institute. 1895 demonstrated that cryohydrates, until then regarded as specific chemical compounds, were actually mech mixtures of crystals of ice and salts.
Made first systematic study of the electrolysis and electr conductivity of molten salts. Determined the aqueous solution temperature of various salts and the thermal capacity of solutions.
