Background
Alexander was born 01.02.1874, the village of Soshki, Lipetsk district of Tambov province and died 02.08.1930, near the city of Voronezh. He came from the clergy. He was subjected to groundless persecution, fled to Voronezh province (1918). He was unjustifiably repressed in the so-called "Buevtsi" case (1930) and was shot. Alexander was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church (2000) as a priestly martyr.
