On returning to his native city found employment as draftsman in the office of H. W. Buemming, later became junior partner. In practice for himself Mr. Guth designed buildings of varied type in Milwaukee, and in recent years was architect for the restoration of the Benjamin Church homestead, second oldest building in the city, now located in Esta- brook Park.
