Alexander Izquierdo, who records under the mononym Eskeerdo, is a Cuban-American recording artist, rapper, and Grammy award-winning songwriter.

Career
In 2009, Eskeerdo received his first placement for his contribution to "Diddy Boppin" for music-mogul Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs. Born to Cuban parents, Eskeerdo is first generation American and the youngest of three siblings. Shortly after, at the age of 15, he would drop out of high-school and work two jobs in order to contribute to the household.
At this point, Eskeerdo realized music was not only a form of creative release but also a form of income.
The Monsters originated as a group in 2008 when Stefan Johnson engineered a session for Eskeerdo. The Monsters and The Strangerz were both introduced to each other in late 2010 during a session with Def Jam artist Khalil and Atlantic Records artist Diggy Simmons.
The session became the start of the group"s creative partnership. Eskeerdo has penned critically acclaimed hits for Diddy, Rihanna, Flo Rida, T.I., Big Sean, Meek Mill, John Legend, Selena Gomez, among others
Most notably, in 2012, Eskeerdo collaborated with some of hip-hop"s biggest names to co-write Kanye West"s "Clique" which was featured on G.O.O.D "s album Cruel Summer.
That same year he co-wrote "Number Love Allowed," featured on Rihanna"s album Unapologetic. Today Eskeerdo continues to be one of Number I.D."s go-to writers. Production and songwriting.
