Studied at Garnethill Public School, Glasgow. Partick Academy.; Bachelor of Medicine. Master in Surgery.
Entered University of Glasgow, 1890: as an undergraduate gained several medals and prizes in classes there. Acted as Resident in the Western Infirmary, and was one of the editors of The Glasgow University Magazine. Graduated (with high commendation) 1894, and was appointed Senior Demonstrator of Anatomy.
Member of the Kelvin Jubilee Students" Committee, and joint-editor of the Book of the Jubilee (ninth of the University).
Appointed to the Bellahouston Chair of Anatomy, Street Mungo’s College, Glasgow, 1900. Honourable Member and ExPresident Glasgow University Medical Cliirurgical Society.
Ex-President of the Saint Mungo’s College Medical Society and Glasgow Dental Students’ Society. Formerly Examiner in Anatomy, Universities of Glasgow and Saint Andrews, and surgeon South.S. Clan Mackenzie.
