Entered Indian Civil Service, 1863. Ajjpointed to North-West Provinces as Assistant Magistrate and Collector, 1864. Settlement Officer of Fatehpur, 1870, of Karwi, 1878.
Magistrate and Collector of Allahabad, 1882. Officiating Commissioner Native Infantry Salt Revenue, 1880-1887. Magistrate and Collector of Saharan pur, 1887-1890.
Officiating Commissioner of Jhansi, 1890. Commissioner Salt Revenue, 1891-1898. C. I.E. 1895.
