In 1957, he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT). From 1960 to 1963 he worked as an assistant at the Department of Theoretical Mechanics at MIPT.

• From 1963 until his death he worked at the Computing Center of the USSR Academy of Sciences (RAS). From 1963 to 1968 in the position of junior research associate, from 1968 to 1985 in the post of head of the sector, since 1985 - head of the department.

• In 1964, at MIPT, he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of physical and mathematical sciences in the field of computational mathematics.
