Studied at Drogheda Grammar School. Studied for the musical profession. Was a member of the Dublin Glee and Madrigal Union Quintet, 1875.
Afterwards soloist in the choirs of his Majesty’s Chapel Royal, Trinity College Chapel, Christ Church Cathedral, and Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin. Studied drawing in the Art Schools of the Royal Dublin Society. Painter in Oil and Water Colour.

Self taught. Has devoted himself to the delineation of Irish Landscape, Lake, and SeaCoast Scenery. An annual exhibition of his own pictures is held in Dublin in January, and he has held several successful one-man shows of Irish Scenery in Bond Street. R.H.A. 1891.
