Alexander was born in Igumensky paviet (now it`s chervensky district of Minsk region) in the family of poor gentlemen.

He got a primary education at Igumensky Primary Bazilinsky school in 1825.
He was a private tutor for over two years.
Zdanovich entered the wilensky university and got the candidate's degree in 1831. He taught the byelorussian language and literature in the upper school of Wilensky Shlyakhtetsky (Gentry) University from 1834 and over 15 years, then till closing down the university he became the leader of the general history department. Some years Zdanovich worked as an assistant of A/ Adyniets, an editor at the editorial office of “Wilensky bulletin newspaper, then he took part in creating the dictionary of the polish language of Algebrand, then gave lectures in woman`s boarding schools in Wilnya, in private houses, then he taught the Russian history in wilensky catholic seminary. Alexander Zdanovich was well-versed in some languages.
He worked on literature from 1863, but the death of a son stopped his work. His son was executed for collaboration in a revolt at wilensky prison Lukishki. This event influenced on his moral and physical state and that`s why he died.
Zdanovich stored a great experience to teach different subjects over a number of years of enlightened activity. Also there were a number of his educational supplies, including “The dictionary of French English with brief information about pronunciation and speech” in 1832, “The French grammar for children” in 1830, 1839, 1844, “The ethnographical table by Yazvinsky method ” in 1845, “The essays of Polish history for children” in 1857, “The essays of general history for children” in 1861 and others. A lot works by Zdanovich were left in manuscripts, but his wife sold the archive before her death and that`s why the location of it is not known.
