He graduated from Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1960).
Alexander Kishchenko participated in the creation of monumental decorative panels in Kyiv and Lviv (1960-1963). He was an academic at the Faculty of Arts of Belarusian Theatre and Art Institute (1963-1970). He was a participant of republican and all-Union exhibitions since 1961. He is presented in the State Tretyakov Gallery. He painted portraits of M. Bieshu, S. Parajanov, M. Sholohov.
During repeated visits to the town of Boguchar he created a series of sketches and landscapes of urban neighborhoods. Kishchenko attended the opening ceremony of his personal exhibition at Voronezh Regional Art Museum of I.N. Kramskoy in 1996.
