Alexander Mikhailovich Mikhailov was born on March 16, 1904 in Voronezh, Russian Federation.
Alexander Mikhailovich graduated from the Voronezh Theater College (1924) and entered in absentia the Literary Institute named after A.M. Gorky.
In 1919 Alexander Mikhailovich made his debut in the Voronezh circus as an acrobat-eccentric (together with K.F. Goebel). Until the end of the 1930s he worked in the circus, Moscow State Stage.
Participant of the Great Patriotic War. After escaping from a prisoner-of-war camp, Alexander Mikhailovich fought in Belarus in a guerrilla group, where he organized amateur art activities.
After the war Alexander Mikhailovich lived in Minsk, led the estrade concert sector of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society. In 1945 he created a jazz orchestra and was its member, chairperson and artistic director. He worked actively in the Russian section of the Writers' Union of Belarus.
