Educated preparatory and high schools and under private tutors. Studied law under Augustine T. Smythe, Charleston, South Carolina., and General William H. Payne, Warrenton, Virginia.

Career

Admitted to Virginia State bar, 1884. Began practice at Chattanooga, Tennessee, 1886. Member firm Chambliss & Chambliss until 1911, Sizer, Chambliss & Chambliss, 1911-1923.

Vice-president Provident Life & Accident Insurance Company.

Politics
