In 2011, Alexandra Herasimenya became world champion in swimming at one hundred-meter freestyle. In 2010 at the European Swimming Championships, held in the capital city of Budapest, Hungary, Alexandra Herasimenya won a gold and a silver medals. In 2001at the European Swimming Championships for juniors Alexandra Herasimenya won as many as three gold medals. She also is a record holder European Swimming Championships. Alexandra Herasimenya holds the title of Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus. In 2011, it recognized the best athlete in Belarus.
