Alexandre was born on the eleventh of July, 1886, in Marseilles, France. Barthelemy Pierrugues was his father and Felicie Caire was his mother. On the twenty-seventh of July, 1905 Alexandre arrived in China. Most of his life he lived and worked in Tientsin.
He studied at Lycée d'Aix en Provence et Lycée de Marseille.
Since his arrival in China he worked as a director of Banque Sino-Française inTientsin.Also, he was a director of Epargne Franco-Chinoise in Tientsin. War service: Alexandre was mobilised with French Colonial Forces. From 1905 till 1908 he was on Volunteer Corps Service (Shanghai Volunteer Corps).
On the fifteenth of October, 1912 Fernande and Alexandre got married.
