Alexe Dumitru was a Romanian sprint canoer who competed in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
Achievements
Competing in two Summer Olympics, he won the gold in the C-2 1000 m event at Melbourne in 1956. Dumitru also won the gold medal in the C-2 1000 m event at the 1958 International Coach Federation Canoe Sprint World Championships in Prague.
