In 1985-1990 he worked on the building site of the Baikal-Amur Mainline at “Mostostroy-10”. In 1990 Akulov started to work at the Ulya-novskostostroy trust (“Transstroy” Corporation), in 1997 he went to work for the central office of “Transstroy” in Moscow. From 1998 till 2006 Alexey took up a post of a vice-governor of the Leningrad Region; also he worked as a head of the regional representation under the Government of the Russian Federation. From 2006 till 2007 Alexey Akulov worked as a Vice-President of “RosEuroGroup” consortium. On the fifteenth of February, 2008 he was appointed a Deputy Head of Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Management.
Alexey is married, has three sons.
