In childhood he got primary music education in piano and violin. He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory (1931, piano class by Professor G.G. Neuhaus).
Career
Alexey Lukich Zybtsev was an accompanist of the Bolshoi Theater (1930-1960, with a break), lecturer of the chamber ensemble class (1937-1941, since 1943), professor (1965), head of the chamber ensemble and quartet department of the Moscow Conservatory.
He led an active concert and performing life. Performed in Voronezh at the opening of the concert season in October 1938.
