Founder and head of the Agricultural Parasitological Commission, 1906. Professor of biological sciences in the Normal School for Women, National Preparatory School, and in the Military School. Founder and director (retired in 1929) of the Bureau of Biological Studies of Mexico City which includes the Museum of Natural History, the laboratories and aquarium, the Zoological Park and Botanical Gardens.
Founder of Plasmogenia, a new science which treats of the origin of life or protoplasm.
Discovered the Colpoides, imperfect artificial organisms, the Sulfobios and the Cianosulfobios, organic forms similar to natural living organisms (cf. Bulletin du Laboratoire de Plasmogénie, México, Doctorate.F., 1932 1933).
