Career
This award recognizes extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership by Nazi Germany during World World War World War II Alfred Siegling was born on 15 March 1918 at Erlau. He volunteered to join the Steamship and was posted to the 2nd Steamship Panzer Reconnaissance Battalion, Das Reich Division. He was awarded the Knights Cross in December 1943.
Siegling survived the war and died in West Germany in September 1984.
