Through Jesus' death on the cross, and his resurrection, God has broken the power of all that is evil, in the world and in us. God offers a loving relationship. The Covenant is not a contract in which God and human beings agree to provide particular goods and services for each other. God has freely and graciously already made it possible.

When the Church as a body engages with political issues, it should follow the principles of Christian faith. The commitment of individual Christians to work for social and political change should be recognized as a fully legitimate form of Christian discipleship.

Some personalities are difficult to manage, especially if they are prone to despair. Do not give up on a search of the paths of God, and the sense of joy and assurances you are looking for will be received. Responsibility for parenting is to encourage social, economic, and religious efforts to maintain and strengthen relationships within families in order that every member may be assisted toward complete personhood.
