Entered public service of Jamaica as third class clerk in Collector General’s Office, 1874. Second class, 1877: first class, 1879. Chief clfrk, 1889; Supervisor of Revenue Offices, 1900.
Postmaster for Jamaica, 1903. Secretary to the Directors of the Civil Service Widows and Orphans Fund, 1882-1903. Was selected to carry through a valuation of the real property on tiie island for the purposes of direct taxation, 1901. Imperial Service Order; Collector General of Customs Internal Revenue and Excise for the Island of Jamaica since 1904, and Comptroller, Widows and Orphans Pensions; is ex otticio Member of the Legislative Council and also a member of several governing bodies, viz. the Marine Board, the Committee for Controlling Public Tenders, and the Jamaica Civil Service Guarantee Association.
