Education
He did his secondary education in Alavi high school, Tehran. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Tehran Polytechnic. He then obtained Master of Science in nuclear engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Doctor of Philosophy in nuclear engineering from University of California, Berkeley with a thesis called "Stability analysis of a nuclear power plant by large-scale system Lyapunov methods" in 1984.
