AMIRASLANOV, Ali was born in December 1900.

Education

1930 graduated Moscow Mining Academy.

Career

From 1930 at All-Union Institute of Mineral Ores and at Gold Mining Research Institute. 1939-1947 chief eng, 1948-1953 director and 1954-1957 chief geologist, Main Geological Survey Board, USSR Ministry of Non-Ferrous Metals. Sinultancously 1931-1955 instructor, Moscow Geological Survey Institute.

1955-1957 deputy acad secretary, Department of Geological and Geographical Sciences, USSR Academy of Sciences. 1957-1962 staff member, Institute of Ore Deposit Geology, Petrography, Mineralogy and Geochemistry, USSR Academy of Sciences. Bureau member, Department of Geological and Geographical Sciences, USSR Academy of Sciences.

From 1960 specialized in study of deposits of non-ferrous and rare metals, especially copper, lead and zinc. Publ (The Levikha Group of Pyrite Deposits in the Urals) (1934). Karpushikhinskoye mesto- rozhdeniye na Urale i ye go perspektivy (The Karpushikha Deposit in the Urals and its Prospects) (1936);Mineralogicheskaya kharak- teristika kolchedannykh mestorozhdeniy Urala i vtorichnyye protsessy v nikh (The Mineralogical Characteristics of the Pyrite Deposits of the Urals and Secondary Processes Therein) (1937).
