He is popularly known as Victor,
Ramzan Ali, a Forward Bloc leader and four-time Modern Language Association from Goalpokhar. His death in the Modern Language Association’s Hostel at Kolkata in1994 created quite a stir. He was first elected in a bye-election in 2009 from Goalpokhar, and subsequently re-elected from the newly created Chakulia constituency in 2011.
