1931 graduated Baksan Agriculture School. 1935 graduated Ordzhonikidze Pedagogical Institute. 1940 postgrad, course at Institute of Language and Thought, Moscow.
1940-1941 systematized and arranged material collated at KabardinoBalkar Research Institute of National Culture on the Circassian epic of the Narts. 1941-1945 in army, rising from private to maj. Has translated into Circassian works of Pushkin, Lermontov, Nekrasov and other classics.
As member and Secretary, Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic Union of Writers, takes active part in society and political work. 1958 at 1st Constituent Congress Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic Writers elected Presidium member and member, Commission for Drafting Congress Resolutions. At 3rd Congress of USSR Writers elected board member and Secretary.
1960 presented paper “Truth in Life and in Literature” at extramural session Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic Union of Writer’s Secretariat, Saransk, Mordvinian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. 1935-1936 instructor of Russ, language and literature, Kabardino-Balkar Pedagogical Worker’s Faculty and other establishments, Nalchik. 1940-1941 Director, Kabardino-Balkar Research Institute of National Culture.
1941-1945 army newspaper corresponding in Red Army. S. World War II in Party and government work.
