Education
He entered the employ of Hokuryukan, publishers’ agent, after graduating from primary school.
Career
When the handling of publications was incorporated (1941) into a single organ, the Nippai, he joined the new organization as business manager. Upon the dissolution of Nippai (1949) he was instated as senior managing director of Chuosha, one of the three large companies handling the distribution of publications.
