Amako Yoshihisa was born in Japan. Son of Haruhisa.
His Toda Castle was besieged by the forces of Motonari Mori in 1562 but he held it for five years before he surrendered. During the sie'e, he killed one of his veteran re-tainers, Hisakane Moriyama, upon a false charge leveled at him by a slanderer. This action of his estranged many of his retainers and eventually forced him to surrender to Motonari. After his surrender, he became a Buddhist priest, assuming the name of Yurin.
