National Collegiate Athletic Association Asay competed at Brown University in softball. Baseball She has competed with the Canadian national team in five IBAF Women's World Cups (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014). At the 2006 edition of the IBAF Women"s World Cup, she was named to the tournament all-star team

Hockey Asay played for head coach Digit Murphy with the Brown Bears women's ice hockey program From 2010 to 2012, Asay competed in women's ice hockey with the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds.
During the 2010-2011 University of British Columbia Thunderbirds women's ice hockey season, Asay contributed 11 points. 2006 IBAF Women's World Cup of Baseball All-Tournament Team She earned a Masters of Science degree from the University of British Columbia.
Currently, she is the second year of Doctor of Philosophy studies at University of British Columbia in the faculty of Forestry.
