Club career
Neilson played for Newcastle Jets in the Australian West-League. Neilson retired from football after the final game of the 2010-2011 West-League season. Ahead of the 2014 season, Neilson came out of retirement, re-signing with Newcastle Jets.
International career
She played three matches at the 2002 Fédération internationale de football association U-19 Women"s World Championship in Canada.
Neilson has also represented Australia at senior international level
