Born to an American mother and a Caymanian father, Ambuyah spent the early years of her childhood growing up in West Bay, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. At a reception hosted by the Cayman Islands" Governor Stuart Jack on February 20, 2006, she had the opportunity to meet the Premier of Bermuda, Honorary In a world where school teachers are in short supply, her desire to pursue a career in elementary education was welcome news to Alden McLaughlin the Former Minister of Education, Training, Employment, Youth, Sports and Culture.
Ambuyah enjoys all water-based activities and is an avid cyclist.
