Amir studied at the University of Tehran in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran. He became a Master of Arts in the area of graphic designing and visual arts. Also. he is a Master of Arts in directing.
In September 2017 Amir directed and produced "30 Birds of Peace" in cooperation with UNESCO to commemorate the International Peace Day. The event was attended by national and international luminaries and diplomats and it received a worldwide media coverage.
Amir worked with Abbas Kiarostami and Bahram Beyzaei as editor. Salari is currently working on his new movie which is an Iranian adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People.
