Career
He is one of Iran"s most famous rappers but has caused controversy for being "Westerner, non-Iranian and immoral". Despite this, the Iranian military helped him film a music video. Because Iranian television is government-controlled, his music has been aired through satellite channels for which he was arrested in 2013.
Tataloo is from a Iranian Azerbaijani family coming from Heris County, East Azerbaijan province.
He started his career in 2003 as an underground musician. Since then, he"s releases several music albums and singles.
In 2013, he was briefly arrested by the moral security police of Iran and released shortly after. As of July 2015, he has up to (23m) followers on instagram and (14) million followers on Facebook.
Controversies
During the Iran/5+1 nuclear talks in Vienna, in July 2015, Tataloo released a song supporting the Iranian nuclear program
The music video was produced on the Iranian IRINS Damavand (77) navy ship. This video was considered by some to be a response of Iranian armed forces to the deal resulted from the talks. The song and music video was controversial inside Iran.
