Career
Served as Presbyterian Minister in the Walloon Churches of Netherland, 1868-1872. Called back to France after the disasters of his country in 1870-1871, he served as Protestant minister at Beauvais, where he erected the first church, and at Saint Denis. Lecturer in Church history at Protestant School of Divinity of Paris, 1879.
Foreign twenty years took a large share in all endeavours made to improve in France primary education as librarian of the Mus6e Pedagogique, and to advance the knowledge of the history of the Huguenots.
