Amy Elizabeth Ansell was born on June 13, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan, United States to Burton L. Ansell, a lawyer, and Marjory (Moses) Ansell.

Education

Amy graduated from University of Michigan with Bachelor's degree in 1986, Cambridge University with Master's degree in 1988, M.Phil. in 1989 and Ph.D. in 1994.

Career

Amy was an associate professor of sociology at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson. She later worked as a director of international programs and associate dean for academic affairs. In 1999 she became a visiting researcher and lecturer at University of the Witwatersrand.

Achievements

• Amy is a brilliant educator and author famous for her work New Right, New Racism. She is also the editor of Unraveling the Right: The New Conservatism in American Thought and Politics.
