She went on to gain a Doctor of Philosophy (Doctor of Philosophy) in Russian politics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (London School of Economics) in 1977.
Career
She has been described by The New York Times as "the West"s foremost scholar" of the Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti (Committee for State Security). She gained a Bachelor of Arts (Bachelor) at the University of Michigan. She taught at the London School of Economics, the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, George Washington University and at Carleton University. She also worked for eighteen years at the United States. Library of Congress as a specialist in Russian and Soviet affairs
Knight also writes for The New York Review of Books, The Times Literary Supplement and The Globe and Mail.
In 1993-1994, she was a fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
