This was the first time L"il Champs went international because the first season, in which Sanchita Bhattyacharya was declared the winner by Shahrukh Khan, had contestants from India only. Anamika eventually went on to win the first ever International L"il Champs. She was declared the winner on March 1, 2008 receiving a total of 44 lakh 80 thousand votes.
