Kokurina Anastasia Nikolaevna was born April 20, 1915 in Zhytomyr city, Zhytomyrs'ka Oblast', Ukraine.
She graduated from the Moscow Choreographic School (1933, teacher A.I. Chekrygin), theater department of the A.V. Lunacharsky (1960).
Anastasia Nikolaevna Kokurina danced at the Bolshoi Theater (1933-1945), the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater (1945-1960). She was a lecturer at the Perm Ballet School (1954-1966), Voronezh Ballet School (1966-1975), Artistic Director of the Voronezh Ballet School (1966-1972, with a break).
