He graduated from the Foreign Language School of Tokyo (1928).
Career
He became assistant professor at Yonezawa Technological College (1938), assistant professor at the Foreign Language School of Tokyo (1941), full professor at Tokyo College of Foreign languages (1953), and concurently is secretary-general of the Contemporary Poets’ Society. He participated as Japanese delegate to the World Poets, Convention at Brussels, Belgium (1954).
