Career

She made her Women's Tennis Association Tour main draw debut at the 2006 Copa Colsanitas after coming through the qualifying rounds. Benítez partnered compatriot Soledad Esperón to victory in the late September 2007 Juarez $25,000 International Tennis Federation event. Her best singles performance was reaching the semi-finals of the $50,000 Vittel event in July 2005, despite losing in qualifying (but gaining entry as a "lucky loser").
